Affected property owners have been advised of their work and asked for support via mail.
Surveyor Price Merrett may visit homes in town to measure floor heights. It will also visually inspect buildings’ exteriors to assess flood proofing.
Floor heights will be measured at outside doorways, with surveyors not needing to enter buildings.
Crucial information, like flood level marks, are asked to be shown to surveyors so they can be recorded.

Pistol Club’s re-launch
A new era is beginning for Echuca Pistol Club this weekend as it hosts its first major event in several years in a revamped and repaired facility.
The club will be hosting a state selection match, the Echuca Pistol Club Riverboat Express, on Saturday and Sunday.
The event features separate shoots on both days, with competitors able to compete in a single event or both, with each day featuring eight stages of shooting.
The club, situated off Looker Rd, east of Echuca, has benefited in recent years from grants from all three levels of government, totalling about $500,000.
On the back of its competitive launch, the club will be instituting come-and-try events in the future, allowing prospective members to learn the sport under one-on-one instruction from an experienced shooter.
Champion of champions
A Cobram musical talent has found herself in the spotlight after claiming first place in a statewide showcase in Melbourne.
Cobram Secondary College’s Jessie Ashcroft took part in the Victorian State Solo Championships.
In what was her first time performing in a solo competition, Jessie never expected to come away with any awards — much less first place in all of her four competitions.
In the competition, performers were judged and rated a score out of 100.
Jessie said she was aiming for a score of 60 out of 100, but the competition’s adjudicators rated her performance with a 92 per cent score.
She performed two pieces: Syrinx, by Claude Debussy, and Sicilienne, by Philippe Gaubert.
Jessie is now the state champion for 2024 Junior Flute/Piccolo and Open Flute/Piccolo.
She is also the 2024 Junior Woodwind Champion of Champions, as well as the 2024 Open Woodwind Champion of Champions.
