The area bounded by Jerilderie, Hay, Moulamein and Deniliquin is planned to receive in excess of 800 wind turbines and a minimum of 5000 hectares of solar panels development.
Collectively this will have a major irreversible environmental impact over the whole connected area, plus defacing the landscape.
Without selecting bird species impacted, the Plains Wanderer for one has already been declared vulnerable by the providers.
It is well documented the number of Wedge-tailed Eagles in Tasmania, killed and collected by wind farm maintenance staff.
This Tasmanian subspecies of eagle is rare, so the percentage killed is considerable
The basics of renewable in these projects is to bribe landholders, money is more important than the environment, into approval with the providers backed by political support.
Once again this part of Southern NSW, same as water buybacks for the Murray-Darling Basin Plan, is seen as politically dispensable.
Yours etc.
