The Goulburn Valley husband and wife held one of eight Division One-winning entries drawn on November 18.
The local winners admitted to experiencing a wave of emotions that kept them awake all night wondering if it was all a dream.
So far in 2023, there have been six Division One winners in the Goulburn Valley, collectively taking home $7.55 million in prize money.
“It was 5am on Sunday morning and I had checked my TattsLotto ticket,” the winning Tatura woman said.
“I couldn’t believe it and my husband couldn’t believe it. At first, he thought it was only a couple of hundred dollars.
“There were a lot of screams at 5am in the morning! We were so excited and in a lot of disbelief.
“I was up all night wondering if the news was true. There was a lot of tossing and turning. I’m currently running on adrenaline and no sleep.
“It’s a lot of money to process. I’m just so glad to hear it’s real. I was waiting for someone to tell me it was a prank.
“My husband has always said we’ll win TattsLotto one day — he’ll always say, ‘It’s going to happen! It’s going to happen one day!’.
“We’ve been visiting the same newsagency for over 20 years. We always buy our tickets from newsXpress Tatura. They’re the best!”
“We have been dying to replace our cars and now we can. Woo-hoo!”
