All students at the school each got to plant one tree, as part of the global initiative, One Tree Per Child.
The initiative was founded back in 2015 by Olivia Newton-John and John Dee, and aims to have every child plant at least one tree before they leave school.
Greater Shepparton City Council have been a part of the initiative since 2017, working with schools to help their students sow new seeds and help out the environment.
Indigenous trees, shrubs, ground covers and grasses are planted as part of Greater Shepparton’s commitment to the program, with students at St Georges Rd getting the chance to plant some of these native plants at their school.
News photographer Megan Fisher headed to the school on Wednesday, May 22 to capture all the hard workers.
