The 28-year-old has arrived in the Bahamas as the defending champion at the Hero World Challenge and on the back of a year which brought him Olympic gold, Masters victory, the FedEx Cup title and the world No.1 ranking.
After a little bit of a break, Scheffler said he had got some good work in during his off-season, but for obvious reasons the American does not want much to change.
He said: "2024 went pretty well, so I think I'm going to continue to try to work on the stuff that I've been working on.
"I think you're always trying to strike a balance between trying to make little incremental improvements while not messing up what's going on.
"When it comes to look at improvements, I'm always looking for small ways to improve, but I'm not going to go back and change my body, try and gain 20 pounds so I can hit it further.
"I'm not going to completely revamp the way I swing because there was a couple of weeks last year where I was hooking it or fading it."
A strong field in Albany also includes Wyndham Clark, Brian Harman, Keegan Bradley, Justin Thomas and Jason Day.
"I think it's a fun tournament for us to come and play in," Scheffler added. "I think it's a good warm-up for the year, kind of see where everything's at. Come down here, compete, have some fun in the Bahamas and get ready for next season to start."
